Leaking Roof Damaged Kitchen

Heavy rain had caused this Wilson home owner's roof to leak into the kitchen below. This home in particular had a flat roof, which tends to collect water more easily than a regular roof.  With proper maintenance, a flat roof is not an issue, but if maintenance is neglected, it will be more prone to leaks and other damage. In this case, rain water had leaked down into the kitchen and dining room ceiling. Due to the amount of time the problem had been going on, the ceilings could not be dried. Instead, the wet drywall had to be removed and replaced. After fresh paint was applied to the ceiling, walls, crown molding, and cabinets, the kitchen looked brand new.
